{"id":3431,"date":"2021-09-13T13:05:12","date_gmt":"2021-09-13T10:05:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dancetalk.co.il\/?p=3431"},"modified":"2021-09-13T13:05:12","modified_gmt":"2021-09-13T10:05:12","slug":"batsheva-ensemble-decadance-21-at-suzanne-dellal-9-09-21","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dancetalk.co.il\/?p=3431","title":{"rendered":"Batsheva Ensemble- Decadance #21 at Suzanne Dellal, 9\/09\/21"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>photos- Askaff<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The\noriginal title of choreographer Ohad Naharin's&nbsp;\nDecadance, premiered in 2000, marked &nbsp;&nbsp;the first decade of a massive body of dance\nworks that Naharin&nbsp; had created&nbsp; for Batsheva, since he returned to\nIsrael&nbsp; in 1990 and took the position of the\ncompany's artistic director.&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This\ncelebrated creation introduced a work composed as a m\u00e9lange of scenes from previous\nworks by &nbsp;Naharin, among them the\nrevolutionary Kyr, Anaphase(both on 1993) and Naharin's Virus&nbsp; in 2001 along several sections from other\nfavorite creations of that era served as the building blocks of Decadance,&nbsp; originally created for Batsheva Company. The\nodd one among the creation's selection is Zorn, a short piece that Naharin had\nmade for university students abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/dancetalk.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Batsheva_Decadance-21_-2222-@Ascaf_6-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3432\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dancetalk.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Batsheva_Decadance-21_-2222-@Ascaf_6-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/dancetalk.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Batsheva_Decadance-21_-2222-@Ascaf_6-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/dancetalk.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Batsheva_Decadance-21_-2222-@Ascaf_6-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/dancetalk.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Batsheva_Decadance-21_-2222-@Ascaf_6-1536x1024.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/dancetalk.co.il\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/Batsheva_Decadance-21_-2222-@Ascaf_6.jpg 2000w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">This\ndecade and the ones which followed endowed Batsheva with international\nnotoriety and Naharin's reputation soared with it. Apparently, Naharin must\nhave decided that it is the right time to do a new version of Decadance, three\ndecades after he took the reign of Batsheva. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Inevitably,\nafter three productive decades, Naharin had a lot of materials to pick from. He\nalso decided to hand the current Decadance#21 to Batsheva Ensemble, the second,\nyounger company. The young dancers are trained for the challenge.
